ADN App Developer Certification Terms & Conditions
Program Summary
The ADN AI App Certification program qualifies independent developers to publish niche, locally-focused applications on the ADN App Marketplace. Certification is a paid 12-week curriculum and quality-assurance process — it is not a job offer, partnership, investment vehicle, or revenue-share contract.
Open Door Mission
ADN built this certification for people who have historically been denied access — stay-at-home parents, skilled or unskilled developers, content creators, influencers, students, retirees, physically challenged individuals, and anyone who's ever been told no. If you have ever been counted out, we want you in.
Pricing — 100 Certifications, Limited Time Only
The ADN AI App Certification course runs 12 weeks. Only 100 certifications are available at the launch price.
- Launch price: $999 (one-time, 12-week course). Limited to the first 100 certifications.
- Standard price after the 100-certification cohort is full: $4,999 (one-time, 12-week course).
- Pricing is non-refundable once the curriculum starts, except as required by law.
- Seats are allocated on a first-paid, first-served basis until the 100 are claimed; ADN may close the offer earlier at its sole discretion.
- Pricing does not waive the Core ADN Rule — an active ADN membership ($25 activation + $9.99/mo lifetime-locked for Founding VIPs) is still required before, during, and after the course.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available for applicants who would otherwise be unable to enroll. To be considered, check the scholarship box on the application and write a short story explaining why you want this opportunity — what doors have been closed for you, what you want to build, and how this certification will change that.
- Scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated need and the strength of the applicant's story, at ADN's sole discretion.
- Scholarship recipients may receive partial or full tuition coverage; specific terms are communicated on award.
- Scholarship applications are read by the App Review Team. Award decisions are final.
- Receiving a scholarship does not waive the Core ADN Rule — an active ADN membership remains required.
Eligibility — Core ADN Rule
Per the Core ADN Rule, App Developers must be active ADN members in good standing before applying for certification:
- Hold an active ADN membership ($9.99/month, lifetime locked for Founding VIPs).
- Complete the 12-week ADN AI App Certification curriculum and pass review.
- Maintain active membership at all times to keep certification and listings active.
- No active membership = no active participation in the ADN ecosystem (certification, listings, and developer privileges are suspended until membership is restored).
Application Requirements
- Verified full name and contact information.
- Portfolio URL or evidence of prior development work (optional but recommended).
- Certification proof URL once the ADN AI App curriculum is completed.
- Signed Developer Agreement (this document) and Code of Conduct acknowledgement.
App Submission Requirements
Once certified, each app submitted to the ADN App Marketplace must:
- Fit one of the approved ADN Marketplace categories.
- Include an accurate description, screenshots, and demo video link.
- Disclose any third-party services, AI models, or data collection.
- Provide working Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and a support contact.
- Use only one of the approved pricing tiers (Free, $1 / 7-day trial, $9.99, $19.99, $49, $99, $299, $999, or admin-approved custom).
Review & Approval
The ADN App Review Team will:
- Verify ADN membership and certification status.
- Review the app for compliance, security, and quality.
- Approve, reject, or request changes — at ADN's sole discretion.
- Add internal notes and re-review at any time.
Intellectual Property
- Developers retain ownership of their original code, content, and intellectual property.
- Developers grant ADN a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the app listing, screenshots, demo video, and metadata on the ADN platform and in ADN marketing.
- Developers represent and warrant that their submission does not infringe any third-party IP, privacy, or publicity rights.
Pricing, Fees & Payouts
- Developers set the listing price from the approved tier list. Custom pricing requires admin approval.
- ADN may charge developer application or certification fees (currently waived) and a platform fee on app sales/subscriptions — disclosed at listing time.
- Payouts to developers, when applicable, are subject to ADN's payout schedule, minimum thresholds, and verification.
- Mocked payment in preview mode is not a real charge or payout; production payments are processed through ADN's approved payment processor.
Code of Conduct
Developers must not:
- Submit content that is unlawful, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or harmful to minors.
- Collect personal data without clear consent and a published Privacy Policy.
- Use copyrighted music, images, or text without proper licensing.
- Misrepresent app functionality, ratings, reviews, or developer identity.
- Engage in fraudulent ratings, fake reviews, payment manipulation, or referral fraud.
- Bypass ADN review by altering an approved app after listing without re-review.
Compliance
- Developers are responsible for applicable laws including consumer protection, accessibility, data privacy (e.g., GDPR/CCPA where applicable), and tax obligations on payouts.
- Developers handling minors' data must comply with applicable child-safety laws (e.g., COPPA in the U.S.).
- Developers must keep their app's Terms and Privacy Policy current and accessible from the listing.
Suspension & Termination
ADN may suspend or terminate certification, listings, or developer accounts at its sole discretion if:
- The developer's ADN membership lapses or is terminated.
- The developer violates this Agreement, the Code of Conduct, or applicable law.
- An app receives substantiated abuse, fraud, or safety complaints.
- ADN modifies, retires, or restructures the App Marketplace or certification program.
Listings already paid for in advance may be refunded at ADN's discretion, subject to the published refund policy.
ADN Rights
ADN reserves the right to:
- Verify developer eligibility and ADN membership status at any time.
- Modify the certification curriculum, requirements, fees, and benefits.
- Edit listing metadata for clarity, safety, or consistency.
- Feature, de-feature, reorder, or remove any app at any time.
- Suspend or terminate the certification program at any time with reasonable notice.
Disclaimers & Liability
The ADN App Marketplace and certification are provided on an "as-is" basis. ADN makes no warranties regarding sales volume, visibility, revenue, or business outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ADN's aggregate liability under this Agreement is limited to the developer fees paid to ADN in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Important Compliance Notice
ADN certification, listings, and any developer benefits do not represent:
- Investments
- Securities
- Ownership interests
- Equity interests
- Revenue sharing
- Profit participation
ADN App Developer Certification is a promotional membership benefit and quality-assurance program only.
Agreement
By submitting the certification application and checking the agreement box, the developer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, the ADN Membership Terms, the ADN Privacy Policy, the App Review Policies, and the ADN Code of Conduct.
